Protein Drinks Co Review:

Hey Everyone, Just Amber back with another review. A while ago I contacted a company called the Protein Drinks Co in order to review their products as I am trying to be healthier and get back into going to the gym. The company responded by posting me a range of their different products to review. So below I will review each product individually.

You can find their products on their website here: http://theproteindrinksco.co.uk/

Ufit protein drink - chocolate:

This drink comes in chocolate and strawberry but I prefer chocolate so decided to review the chocolate. Its almost like a chocolate milkshake but creamier and has a nice consistency. The Ufit shake contains 22g of protein along with added vitamins and minerals. They contain no added sugar and the chocolate is 170 calories a bottle. After having one of these shakes for breakfast it really did help to curb my appetite. There great grab on the go healthy option packed with protein. The chocolate had a really creamy flavour and wasnt to chocolatey. On their website these drinks retail at £16.00 for x8 shakes so not bad at £2.00 a shake.

Uslim Protein drink - chocolate:

I also tried the Uslim protein drink which is a similar concept to the Ufit but a sliming version. The Uslim contains green tea and green coffee extracts which are supposed to help burn fat and create a healthier metabolism. Again it is low in fat and is only 105 calories a bottle. I  must admit after having this for breakfast one morning I wasn't hungry till lunchtime so it definatley helped with my cravings. Its makes a great snack replacement. They are currently on sale at £10.00 for a case of 8, which is £1.25 a bottle a great bargain and if your trying to lose weight they are a great buy. They also come in strawberry. The chocolate taste is very mild in this drink as it is more milky but this is understandable due to it being a diet drink.

Ufit Pro 50 protein drink - chocolate:

The last protein drink I tried was a mega protein shake they come in a huge 500ml bottle and are a premium shake. The Ufit pro shakes contain a whopping 50g of protein and are something I would only really drink after a workout to help with  recovery. They taste amazing like a really thick chocolate milkshake but think creamier. This shake can be drank in one sitting or resealed and be drank in two/three sittings. A full bottle contains 336 calories which is great for muscle builiding. Out of the three shakes this is probably one I would buy the least not because I dont like it but because Im trying to lose weight this shake is better for someone who is trying to bulk up. They cost £22.50 for 6 bottles so £3.75 a bottle they are quite expensive but like a said they are a premium product.

I am really grateful to Austin for letting me try and review these products. I would definately re-purchase the U-slim drinks because of how well they helped to curb my hunger. You can purchase online or some of these drinks are avaliable in selected Tesco's :).

Thats all for now , Thanks Amber xox

Waterwipes Review:

Hey Everyone, Just Amber back with another review. I recently contacted a company called Waterwipes in order to try their products. Waterwipes do two products baby wipes and face wipes. I asked if I could try their face wipes as I used them on a regular basis in order to remove my make up. Their waterwipes are the purest face wipes in the world because they only use three natural ingredients:

  • Water
  • Dead sea minerals
  • Fruit extract
I was amazed at how good this product actually is. They are amazing and due to their kind to skin ingredients I feel I can use them on daily basis for make up removal without having to worry about my skin drying out. They are great for sensitive skin which I have and the thing I love most is you don't get any tightining effects which usally happens when using facewipes. You get 24 wipes in a pack and they retail at around £2.99 a packet (price from Ocado), I think the price is reasonable considering the wipes are all natural ingredients. Waterwipes are also approved by allergy UK and are hypoallergenic and dermalogically tested. They really do remove make up effectively and you only need one wipe per use.

You can go check out their website to view a list of stockist:

I want to say a huge thankyou to Nathalie for letting my try this product and I will re-purchase this item as it is amazing :).

Thats all for now, Amber xox :)

Upbeat Protein Drink Review:

Image taken from http://www.feelingupbeat.com/#Info
Hey Everyone, Just Amber back with another review. A while ago I contacted Upbeat to review their protein drinks and they where kind enough to send me some vouchers so I could do a review for them. There drinks come in four different flavours as pictured above and I was lucky enough to get the chance to try three of the above flavours. I went to  Tesco with my vouchers and managed to pick up a strawberry, blueberry and raspberry and a chocolate orange. The drinks have an RRP of around the £1.79 mark, prices may vary slightly in different stores. I think the price is reasonable as other protein drink brands retail their drinks at similar prices and some even higher. I also really love the bright and colourful packaging it really draws your eye when looking in the protein drink section. The greatest thing about these drinks is that they are only 150 calories each and they really do help to curb your cravings. I have been drinking them for breakfast and they have seen me through to lunchtime leaving me no need to snack.

Go and check out there website:

Strawberry:

First flavour I tried was the starwberry and I have to say it was delicious. I have found in the past with protein drinks that you always get that funny after taste but not with upbeat. This drink almost reminded me of a strawberry yougurt you get the sweet creamy strawberry flavour with a tangy yogurt undertone. I was really impressed and I loved the fact that the drink was just the right amount of sweet.

Chocolate Orange:

Next flavour I tried which I was pleastantly suprised by was the chocolate orange flavour. I was expecting this to be a lot sweeter but it was actually really refreshing as you gulped you get this like dark chocolate taste then a punch of orange flavour comes through and really refreshes your pallette. I have to say this was my favourite as its a great chocolate fix and at only 150 calories and being high in protein its allowed on a diet which is great for me :).

Raspberry and Blueberry:

Last but certainly not least I tried the raspberry and blueberry flavour which again reminded me of a yougurt drink but was gorgeous. Again similar to the strawberry I loved the fact the drinks weren't to sweet but still really fruity and refreshing.

I want to say a huge thanks to Kat for giving me the oppurtunity to try these amazing drinks and I have to say I would purchase them in the future as they taste great, look great and are great value for money.

Thats all for now , Amber xox :)

Hasslacher's Hot Chocolate Review:

Hey Everyone sorry I haven't wrote a review in a while, I have a lot of catching up to do but due to my circumstances I haven't really had any intrest in doing anything. A little while ago I mentioned that I had contacted Hasslacher's a hot chocolate company to review their products and they where kind enough to post me out a 150g bag of their hot chocolate to review.

Hasslacher's Hot Chocolate stand up pouch 150g - RRP £3.75:

Upon recieving my parcel to review I must say I was impressed at the outer packing as it clearly states what ingredients are in the product and how many cups the product makes. When reading the instructions on the packing they are simple and straight-forward. You can make the hot chocolate in two ways by either heating milk in a pan or warming in the microwave then you simply stir in the chocolate discs the packaging suggests around three discs but I suppose it depends how chocolatey you like it. I found that I added around 5 to make it super chocolatey and tasty. The hot chocolate has a rich and creamy texture and a lovely frothy top. I love the fact that your using real chocolate rather than a powder like most other brands as it gives a really authetic taste. I also think the product is good value for money purely based on the high quality of how good it tastes. I will definately be buying in the future.

Huge thanks to Jim for sending me the product to test :), Hasslachers can be found in supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsburys check out their website as they have a great product range: http://www.hasslachers.co.uk/.

Thats all for now , Amber xox
