The Baking Tree Rainbow Cake Pop Kit Review

Hey Everyone, I'm back with another review. After taking a little time out from writing blog posts I thought I better write the reviews for items that I have used. I contacted a company called the Baking Tree a while ago to review one of their cake pop kits and they kindly popped me a rainbow cake pop kit in the post.

Check out their website: http://www.thebakingtree.co.uk/
Makes 12 chocolate cake pops

Difficulty Rating: Skillful

Each Kit contains: 680g

  • Bag of cake mix
  • Bag of icing sugar
  • Bag of milk chocolate coating
  • Bag of sprinkles x 2
  • White sticks
  • Foam block
  • Full colour step-by-step instructions

  • Upon arrival of the kit I must say I was impressed. The kit had everything clearly labelled and bagged inside the neat little box. Below
shows the kit contents. I liked how the kit contained everything you needed to make the pops and all you had to do was follow the very easy and clear instructions. You also just need to add some butter and egg and hey presto cake pops in a box. This neat little kit contains lots of reusable items such as the cake pop sticks which are dishwasher safe so you can make them all over again.

The easy to follow instructions meant that the cake pops took around 2 hours to make but this includes a lot of cooling and drying time. I think these kits are perfect to bake with the kids or to made for a cheeky adult treat at a dinner party as they look very impressive when made. This kit retails for £13.99 which I think is a reasonable price and it would make a great gift for anyone who loves baking. They also make and sell a range of cake pops which are premade and sell lots of other kits including cookie kits. They can be a little tricky to make when it comes to the decorating like dipping the pops into the icing because if done incorrectly you may lose your cake to the icing, so if buying for the children I recommend adult supervision just to help with the tricky icing.

If purchasing for a gift you can personalize the item at checkout which is a nice touch. Overall the quality of these kits is fantastic and they are definitely worth a try. See what my cake pops turned out like below:
